Robin Snyder Gerz is an active performer and passionate music educator whose rich and varied musical journey continues to inspire both audiences and students alike. She is a tenured member of both the Santa Cruz Symphony and the Monterey Symphony, where she regularly performs. Over the years, Robin has also been invited to serve titled chair and section positions with numerous other orchestras across the Bay Area, including the Fresno Philharmonic, Reno Philharmonic, Bay Philharmonic, Symphony San Jose, San Jose Chamber Orchestra and several others.
Her performance career spans classical concert halls, opera stages, and national television, with appearances on The Tonight Show, Good Morning America, as well as both orchestral and chamber performances at Carnegie Hall. She has performed under the baton of world-renowned conductors such as Esa-Pekka Salonen and John Williams, and has toured and recorded with celebrated artists including Andrea Bocelli, Herbie Hancock, Kelly Clarkson, Smokey Robinson, and Johnny Mathis. Robin is also a four-time consecutive winner of the Kiwanis Competition in Los Angeles.
Robin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cello Performance from the Manhattan School of Music and is currently completing her Master’s in Teaching and California teaching credential through the University of Massachusetts.
